Job Description (JD)
Qualification: Diploma / Mechanical Engineering Degree
Experience: 10–12 years
Overall responsibility of machine shop & fabrication workshop
Manage day-to-day workshop operations
Supervise fabrication, machining, welding & assembly
Coordinate with design, fabrication & production teams
Ensure quality, productivity, safety & timelines
Exposure to CAD drawings for production understanding
Handle manpower, materials & workflow planning
Ensure clear communication with engineers & management
Desired candidate profile
Education & Experience
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years hands-on experience in:
Fabrication workshops
Machine shops
Heavy engineering / manufacturing units
Strong exposure to structural & process fabrication
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of:
Machining, welding, fabrication & assembly
Reading & interpreting fabrication / assembly drawings
Working knowledge of AutoCAD / CAD drawings
Understanding of BOM, material planning & production flow
Experience in manpower supervision & job allocation
Quality control & safety compliance exposure
Leadership & Soft Skills
Good team handling & shop-floor control
Strong problem-solving ability
Good communication skills (English mandatory)
Ability to manage time, deadlines & pressure
