Key responsibilities
As a Vehicle Control Center Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking vehicles equipped with satellite tracking and fuel monitoring devices. Your role is crucial in ensuring the real-time tracking of vehicles, detecting any deviations from planned routes, identifying incidents such as fuel theft or unauthorized stops, and promptly taking appropriate actions. This position requires working in a 24/7 shift environment.
Real-time Vehicle Monitoring:
Monitor vehicles using satellite tracking systems to ensure they are on planned routes.
Continuously track vehicle positions, speed, and other relevant data.
Identify and investigate any deviations from planned routes or other anomalies.
Incident Detection and Response:
Actively monitor fuel levels and identify any abnormal fuel consumption patterns or potential fuel theft incidents.
Detect and report unauthorized stops, prolonged halts, or out-of-zone activities.
Communicate with field personnel, drivers, or relevant authorities to verify incidents and take appropriate actions.
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergency situations promptly and efficiently, such as accidents, breakdowns, or security incidents.
Coordinate with emergency services, towing companies, or other necessary stakeholders.
Document incidents accurately and maintain communication logs.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers and other team members through various communication channels.
Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in incident reports.
Generate and provide regular reports on vehicle activities, incidents, and performance.
System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine system checks and monitor the health of tracking and monitoring devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies.
Coordinate with technical support teams for advanced troubleshooting and system maintenance.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Follow established protocols for incident handling and response.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other Vehicle Control Center Operators to ensure continuous monitoring coverage.
Share knowledge, insights, and best practices with team members.
Provide support and assistance to colleagues when required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Route Adherence: Percentage of vehicles consistently following planned routes.
Incident Response Time: Time taken to respond to and address incidents.
Fuel Theft Detection: Number of fuel theft incidents detected and reported.
Emergency Handling: Effectiveness and efficiency in managing emergency situations.
Data Accuracy: Accuracy and reliability of vehicle tracking and monitoring data.
Communication Efficiency: Timeliness and clarity of communication with drivers and relevant stakeholders.
Compliance Adherence: Compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with tracking and monitoring systems.
Team Collaboration: Collaboration and teamwork within the Vehicle Control Center.
