General Requirements / Skills & Competencies:

· Responsible for achieving Asset growth, funded / non-funded income targets assigned to Project Finance and Syndication department in line with the department’s annual business plan.

· Responsible to conduct due diligence of potential customers / transactions by evaluating business models, feasibility studies, financial projections and analysis of key project documents (EPC, Concession Agreements, Offtake Agreements etc. ).

· Responsible for accurate analysis and assessment of all applicable risks relevant to Project and Structured Finance transactions including construction risk, completion risk, performance risk, offtake risk, credit risk etc.;

· Responsible to originate, structure and successfully execute large size transactions which includes preparing and negotiating transaction structure, term sheets, mandate letters, information memorandums, facility agreements etc. in coordination with legal counsel, syndicate banks and other stakeholders.

· Responsible for portfolio’s asset quality maintenance and continuous portfolio assessment in line with the bank’s credit risk appetite, policies and procedures.

· Local and regional / international experience in project and structured finance deals, including green field / brown field projects with large size corporates, GREs etc.

· Experienced in successfully executing large size syndicated deals, preferably in a lead bank role, which involved extensive dealing with local and regional banks, legal counsel, regulators etc.

· In depth understanding of complex project and structured financing transactions, especially under public private partnership mode (including infrastructure, power sector etc.) or leverage buyouts etc.

· Structuring expertise, with thorough understanding of Islamic product structures, legal agreements, project documents including EPC, Concession Agreements, Offtake Agreements etc.

· Preferred experience in managing customers of key sectors including Oil and Gas, Steel, Manufacturing, Education, Mining, Contracting, Tourism etc.

· Islamic Banking experience, especially in a Project or Structured Financing role is strongly preferred.

· Experience in Advisory or Issue Management services will be a plus

· Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks including IBRF.

· Capable of performing thorough due diligence, including market research, Financial analysis, Risk analysis etc.

· Capable of evaluating complex financial models on excel

· leadership skills, with a team player ability to coordinate with team members

· Will work as a team member and independently with excellent time management skills to manage and plan tactical activities to ensure overall business success and provides good quality of work

· Outstanding communication / presentation skills both written and verbal is essential; efficient in writing and structuring reports

· High flexibility, performance-driven and hands-on approach is critical along with understanding and adjusting priorities on an ongoing process

· Ensuring practical mentoring and coaching his subordinates to develop the team’s capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline

· Ensuring ethical Integrity and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

· Ensuring satisfactory CBO and Internal Audit ratings and Strict adherence to Shariah Compliance.

· Perform any other assignments as guided by the Line Manager.
Required Qualification & Experience:

Preferred University Degree Holder in Economics, Finance, Investment, Accounting or any similar discipline with 10-15 years of experience in banking industry with at least 7 years of working experience in managing Project Finance & Syndications at a leadership level. The CFA Professional Certificate will be an added advantage
