To ensure high plant and equipment availability and improved breakdown turnaround times of UHT Carton/Pouch Filling equipment and associated Processing and downstream packing equipment

Reports to : Factory Engineer

Responsibility: Rekayi Tangwena Factory

Subordinates: Artisans and Apprentices

Role :

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of UHT equipment, comprising of 2 x Tetra Pak Simply 8 fillings lines, 2 x Elecster Pouch filling machines, 2 x SPX UHT Processing lines

UHT Spares Parts Inventory management

• Carry out installation of new UHT equipment, and modifications to existing installations

• On the job training of artisans and apprentices

• Any other duties as assigned by Factory Engineer

Person Specification

Ø Must be able to work under pressure, long hours with minimum supervision

Ø Self – motivated with an ability to work in a multi-disciplined team.

Ø Self –starter, sober habits and able to work with minimum supervision.

Ø A good command of English language

Qualification

ü A National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution

ü Extensive experience on Tetra Pak Brik (TBA/8, Simply 8) fillers, Elecster (or equivalent) Pouch fillers, SPX (or equivalent) UHT processing equipment

ü Good appreciation of PLCs, electronics and variable speed drives

ü 4 years technical hands-on training in a manufacturing environment

ü Computer literacy and Knowledge of SAP is an advantage

ü Knowledge of ISO Standards

ü Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
