Key responsibilities
Title: Technical Manager (Responsable Technique)
Reports to: Cluster General Manager
Supervises: Assistant Technical Manager, Technical Coordinator, Team Leaders
Delegation: Duties may be delegated to Assistant or Coordinator in absence
Profile Requirements
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Building or Civil Engineering
5+ years of experience in building maintenance or as a maintenance team leader
Expertise in renovation, repair, finishing works
Strong adaptability, stress management, organizational skills, and rigor
Fluent in French and English
Leadership and team management abilities
Objectives
Ensure and implement maintenance and technical upkeep policies to guarantee profitability, smooth functioning, safety, and upkeep of the hotel facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Safety Policies
Prepare and implement property maintenance policies
Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Apply QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) standards
Establish procedures, indicators, and audits for technical maintenance
Technical & Financial Management
Plan preventive and corrective maintenance interventions
Monitor technical interventions and incident management
Ensure compliance with budgets, deadlines, and quality standards
Propose technical improvements for efficiency
Team Coordination & Organization
Supervise, train, and motivate technicians
Define and communicate maintenance objectives
Provide technical and regulatory guidance
Ensure compliance with rules and legislation
Additional Responsibilities
Report incidents, fraud, or harassment immediately
Ensure press releases are approved by management
Maintain professional appearance to uphold Novotel’s image
Use company funds and stock responsibly
Cooperate with headquarters and group companies
Perform additional tasks as instructed by the General Manager
