DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Supervise and coordinate activities, inspect incoming materials, finished products, semi-
finished products and work-in-progress product to ensure adherence to quality standards and
customer specifications.
 Supervise and oversee customer lab batch size products
 Ensure the quality as per quality standard, manage and report the supplier’s technical audits
as required by customers.
 Ensure that all finished goods is properly inspected and approved prior to release to
customer.
 Monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
 Manage inspection/quality practices to eliminate escapes and minimize customer return.
 Perform site inspection to assess the potential deficiencies based on physical experience to
share with quality control officers and guidance to QC Inspectors.
 Provide specification of quality requirements of raw materials to suppliers.
 Prepare reports and analyze the quality inspection data.
 Review and approve the quality control section related documents.
 Prepare technical reports or documentation such as quality deviation reports, testing
protocols, and trend analysis

 Prepare and analyze reports related to quality inspection for review, recommendation and
approval
 Estimate and analyze the additional cost incurred for the rectification of malfunction bathes
and provide recommendation to Production Operations Manager.
 Ensure that raw materials, purchased parts or components, in-process samples, and finished
products meet established testing and inspection standards to ensure all items are properly
inspected and approved prior to release.
 Ensure that quality control section cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
 Responsible for development and continuous improvement of the Nash Paints quality control
system.
 Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions regarding the quality
control of the product and projects.
 Provide hands-on guidance and training when needed, assist the Production Operations
Manager in performance appraisal, addressing complaints and resolving employee conflicts in
coordination with Human Resource department.
 Assist in training and coaching of new staff and recommend training needs
 Reviews client, customer, and user feedback
 Maintains compliance with legal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines,
and policies
 Encouraging change and improvement in performance and quality among their team
 Setting up, directing and evaluation of objectives and kpis to maximize and consistently meet
and exceed product quality and business profitability
 Ensure all SAGE X3 QC activitities are up to date
 Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products
and study potential of new products
 Proactive in developing new raw materials and product improvements
 Oversee all aspects of research program and experiments
 Report to senior management on company product technical issues as well as technical
developments within the market
 Manage trial or testing programs for products/services through the management of staff and
assignment of staff and utilization of resources
 Manage, supervise, motivate and mentor a team of research staff
 Budgeting and cost forecasting of technical development or research programs.
 Research into identifying materials or solution requirements.
 Building prototypes and testing both in-house and in the market
 Product design and testing.
 Solution integration and testing.
 Statistical analyses of results
 Any other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
 Degree/ diploma in Chemical engineering/ Chemistry or relevant qualifications

 5 years experience in the paint industry
 Clean class 4 drivers licence
