Actively Hiring
Key responsibilities
Job Summary: An experienced, hands-on System Architect / System Engineer to lead the technical design, architecture, and deployment strategy for our software and technology solutions. The successful candidate will act as the technical bridge between clients, project stakeholders, and development teams - translating business requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and deployable system designs. The role covers solution architecture, cloud and infrastructure planning, application and integration design, technical documentation, deployment, and engineering governance. This is a senior technical role requiring sound engineering judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide teams while remaining hands-on when required. The successful candidate will be expected to balance technical quality, delivery timelines, operational requirements, security, and project cost.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Technical Design
- Design end-to-end system architectures for web, mobile, enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and integrationbased solutions.
- Define application, service, API, database, integration, infrastructure, networking, security, and deployment components and how they interact.
- Select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, databases, cloud services, middleware, and engineering tools based on project requirements, risk, scalability, maintainability, team capability, and cost.
- Apply suitable architecture patterns such as modular monolith, microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless, layered architecture, and API-first design where appropriate.
- Develop architecture diagrams, data-flow diagrams, deployment diagrams, interface specifications,
technical standards, and other system design documentation.
- Build or direct prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate high-risk technical decisions before fullscale implementation.
- Plan for scalability, availability, resilience, disaster recovery, backup, performance, observability,
and operational support from the design stage.
Requirements, Client & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, constraints, integration requirements, security expectations, and operational needs.
- Translate high-level business requirements into clear technical requirements, solution designs, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance.
- Identify technical assumptions, dependencies, risks, gaps, and constraints early and communicate them clearly to project stakeholders.
- Present proposed architectures and technology choices in a clear manner to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Contribute technical inputs to proposals, scopes of work, implementation plans, estimates, solution
presentations, and client technical discussions.
Project Planning, Estimation & Delivery
- Break solution designs into practical workstreams, components, milestones, and phased
implementation plans.
- Prepare or validate technical effort estimates, resource requirements, delivery timelines,
infrastructure requirements, and implementation dependencies.
- Work with project managers and engineering teams to ensure technical scope is realistic, sequenced
correctly, and aligned with delivery commitments.
- Review proposed changes and assess their impact on architecture, cost, timeline, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Support technical risk management and recommend mitigation strategies throughout the project
lifecycle.
Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps
- Design and review cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment environments using platforms such
as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Define deployment architecture including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity and
access management, load balancing, monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Guide the use of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes where
appropriate.
- Promote infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices using tools such as
Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
- Support capacity planning, cloud cost awareness, environment sizing, production readiness, and operational handover.
Security, Integration & Data Architecture
- Embed security-by-design principles across applications, APIs, infrastructure, identity, databases, and integrations.
- Define authentication, authorization, role-based access, secrets management, encryption, audit
logging, and secure integration requirements.
- Review database and data architecture for integrity, performance, scalability, retention, backup, and
recovery requirements.
- Design and review integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, payment systems, identity services,
government or enterprise systems, and hardware/IoT devices where required.
- Ensure architecture decisions support appropriate privacy, security, compliance, and client datagovernance requirements.
Technical Leadership, Quality & Governance
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, architecture principles, coding guidelines, integration
standards, documentation expectations, and deployment practices.
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to software developers and engineers without
unnecessarily limiting implementation flexibility.
- Review code, designs, APIs, database structures, infrastructure configurations, and deployment
approaches for alignment with the agreed architecture.
- Lead or oversee system integration, performance, security, resilience, and production-readiness
testing at the solution level.
- Investigate complex technical issues and provide practical recommendations or escalation paths.
- Maintain architecture decision records and ensure significant technical decisions, assumptions, and
trade-offs are documented.
- Support production incident analysis, root-cause investigation, and continuous improvement of
deployed systems.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for research, architecture exploration, documentation,
troubleshooting, and productivity while independently validating technical outputs.
Desired candidate profile
Required Skills & ExperienceApproximately 5 years or more of professional software engineering, systems engineering, or solutiondevelopment experience, with at least 2-3 years performing architecture, senior engineering, technical lead, or equivalent responsibilities.Demonstrated experience designing and delivering production systems from requirements throughdeployment and operational handover.Strong working knowledge of modern software architecture patterns, system integrationapproaches, API design, database design, and distributed-system concepts.
