As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, maintenance, upgrade,
efficiency, security and integrity of the company's software products and databases.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Engineer, you must operate in line with management directives and in accordance with the Company’s
policies, standards and procedures which form the organization’s quality management system.
The operational responsibilities of this position are:

• Developing software on schedule in line with user requirements, as a member of an agile development group.
• Working through the entire software development lifecycle, starting from understanding and defining user

requirements to testing and documenting the finished product.

• Developing efficient coding structures and algorithms to enable rapid development in line with the company’s

standards and industry best practices for programming.

• Keeping databases up to date.
• Identifying database requirements, evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
• Database design and development to meet user/project requirements.
• Managing database access, security/integrity and backup procedures.
• Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably.
• Designing and implementing maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance.
• Writing reports, documentation and operating manuals.
• Responsible for creating and customizing reports based on user requirement.
• Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans.
• Identifying redundant data and regular clean-up of the same.
• Researching and making recommendations on emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to

integrate them into operations and activities.

• Maintaining confidentiality of work related information and materials.

In addition to the above you will be expected to complete any other tasks assigned by your Supervisor.

Education Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in a related discipline (Computer Science,
Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) or a combination of education and related
experience
Experience 2+ years of professional coding experience, using ASP.NET (VB), SQL RDBMS and PostgreSQL
Driving license Not required
Knowledge Knowledge of RDBMS (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and Working knowledge of MS SQL databases
integration with ASP.Net environment.
Soft Skills Agile development Practices, Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS and Angular 4
framework, Knowledge of Linux/Unix server management
