Job Description – Soap Maker and Soap Plant Operator

• Bring the fat, caustic, water and salt into the pot to convert into soap
• Once the saponification process has been completed, he will transfer the soap into the mixing

pot where the colour, perfume and other ingredients need to be added

• Soap should then be transferred into the feed tank
• From there it will go into the vacuum chamber and duplex plodder where the finished soap will

come out through the cutter and packed into the box
During the above process, this soap maker and plant operator needs to ensure that the quality of
the soap/ product is according to the required specifications. He also needs to manage the team
below him during this process and report to site manager as and when processes are in progress.
Troubleshooting is required in the soap manufacturing department.
