Key responsibilities
Position Overview: The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Supervise and manage day-to-day site operations, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of work and materials to monitor progress and quality.
Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to the construction team, addressing any issues that arise.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and site diaries.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any technical or logistical issues that may impact project delivery.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project requirements are met and to facilitate smooth project execution.
Desired candidate profile
Qualifications
You must have a degree in a relevant field, such as:
- building management,
- building management,
- building studies,
- project management,
- engineering - including civil engineering.
Entry with a BTS, a basic diploma or a BTEC is also possible.
Skills
You must demonstrate:
strong communication skills to liaise with a range of clients, professionals and on-site workers,
- leadership skills and ability to motivate your team to ensure quality work,
- excellent planning and organizational skills for writing and following project plans and
schedules and using time and resources efficiently,
- resilience and problem-solving skills to overcome unexpected challenges during the
construction process,
- an ability to make quick decisions to move the project forward,
- great attention to detail to perform site inspections and manage complex contracts,
- strong business acumen to effectively allocate and manage your budget and understand
customer concerns
Digital and computer skills, including knowledge of relevant construction methods and project
management software to manage information and finances during the project.
Professional experience
A minimum of 4 years practical experience in the field of construction is required for this position.
