Key responsibilities and duties:

• Maintaining the air safety occurrence reporting database;
• Monitoring corrective actions and flight safety trends;
• Monitors and reviews flight proficiency checks for all pilots, and ensures that pilots maintain currency.
• Co-coordinating the Regulatory Authority’s Mandatory Occurrence Reporting scheme;
• Liaising with the heads of all sections Company -wide on flight safety matters;
• Disseminating flight safety-related information
• Participates in aviation accidents or incidents with potential (IWP) investigations within respective

region or as requested by other regions or national office.

• Maintaining an open liaison with manufacturers’ customer flight safety sections, government regulatory

bodies and other flight safety organizations world-wide;

• Carrying out safety audits and inspections;
• Maintaining familiarity with all aspects of the airline activities and its personnel;
• Planning and controlling the airline Safety Section’s budget;
• Managing or having oversight of the FOQA Program, when activated
• Publishing the periodic COMAPNY flight safety magazine When present;

Qualification:

• A knowledge of flight operations procedures and Maintenance activities is a Must;
• English Language & Computer literacy;
• Management Skills
• Report writing Skills

Education & Experience:

• BSC in Engineering/ Equivalent
• Experience in Aviation is a MUST
• Experience as Safety Manager or as an aeronautical engineer;
• Experience in the Gulf/ Middle East reign is preferred
