Responsibilities:

1. Conduct cost estimation and budget preparation for construction projects related to the underground metro station, including infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.
2. Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project specifications and drawings.
3. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data and ensure accurate cost estimation.
4. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential cost variations and discrepancies.
5. Prepare tender documents, including pre-qualification criteria, bid evaluation criteria, and tender analysis reports.
6. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
7. Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the construction phase, tracking variations and assessing their impact on the project budget.
8. Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications to clients or stakeholders in accordance with contractual agreements.
9. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential cost overruns or delays, and implement cost-saving measures.
10. Provide timely and accurate reports on project cost performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.

Experience: 13-20 years
Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects, preferably in the infrastructure sector, with specific experience in underground metro stations.
3. Proficiency in quantity surveying software tools.
4. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and relevant regulations and standards.
5. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation, budgeting, and documentation.
8. Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques.
9. Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
