Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Psychology for IGCSE and A-Level students, following the curriculum guidelines.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of psychological concepts among students.
Utilize a variety of instructional resources, including technology, textbooks, and supplementary materials, to enhance learning outcomes.
Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities that integrate psychological concepts across the curriculum.
Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Stay abreast of developments in the field of psychology and educational best practices, incorporating new insights into teaching practices.
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development workshops, and school events as required.
Desired candidate profile
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is required.
Previous experience teaching Psychology at IGCSE and/or A-Level level is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) syllabus for Psychology.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
