Key responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of construction projects related to the underground metro station, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project timelines and financial targets.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, consultants, and other project team members, to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables.
- Manage project risks and opportunities, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Lead project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder consultations, to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
- Monitor project progress against established milestones and deliverables, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, implementing and enforcing appropriate safety protocols to protect workers and the public.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Desired candidate profile
Experience: 13-22 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale construction projects, preferably in the infrastructure sector, with specific experience in underground metro stations.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing construction projects, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is highly desirable.
