Job Description
The Main responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:
a) Develop budget and projections for the factory operations
b) Coordinate with Factory Manager to schedule new Fonio deliveries to customers
c) Ensure compliance with organic certification
d) Coordinate certification visits and audits at the factory
e) Planning and organizing production schedules
f) Meeting production timelines promptly
g) Assessing project and resource requirements
h) Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
i) Ensure all processing standards are met
j) Overseeing production processes
k) Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
l) Organizing the repair of production equipment
m) Organizing the routine maintenance of production equipment and or Machinery
n) Ensure Machines are always in perfect condition always and ready to be used effectively
o) Supervise Factory casual staff at the factory

a) Relevant academic study, 5 years’ experience in a production environment (experience in Food
processing or Factory environment is an added advantage)
b) Production or Mechanical Option
c) Experience operating production machinery
d) Good Communication skills
e) Willingness to work in a start-up environment – ability to adopt and change with the
organization
f) Minimum of 3 years in Supervisory role
g) Ability to solve problems
h) Strong Initiation and Intuition – being able to work out next steps, provide solutions and not be
afraid to try new ideas
i) Has a sense of responsibility
j) Private sector experience preferred
