Professional Profile
An experienced Production Manager with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in
coal briquette manufacturing, production operations, and plant management. Demonstrated
ability to oversee end-to-end production processes, optimize plant efficiency, maintain
product quality standards, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental
regulations.
Possesses strong technical knowledge of coal processing, briquetting technology, drying
systems, quality control procedures, preventive maintenance, and production planning.
Capable of leading production teams, managing operational costs, minimizing downtime,
and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production targets and profitability
objectives.
Key Responsibilities
 Manage daily operations of the coal briquette production plant.
 Develop and implement production plans to meet output and quality targets.
 Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, and plant performance.
 Ensure consistent quality of coal briquettes in accordance with customer
specifications.
 Coordinate raw material procurement and inventory management with relevant
departments.
 Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment.
 Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process
improvement.
 Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
 Prepare production reports, KPI dashboards, and management updates.
 Lead, train, supervise, and motivate production staff to achieve operational
excellence.
 Manage production scheduling to optimize capacity utilization and meet delivery
timelines.

Qualifications
 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
 Minimum 5 years’ experience in coal briquette manufacturing, charcoal briquette
production, mining-related processing, or a similar industrial manufacturing
environment.

 Strong understanding of briquetting machines, dryers, crushers, conveyors, and
material handling systems.
 Experience in production planning, quality assurance, and inventory control.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
 Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage.
