Key responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
● Create and develop patterns for all client clothing: trousers, dresses,
corseted tops
● Ensure patterns and grading are produced to required standards
● Heed standard industry production deadlines
● Create pattern templates using working drawings
● Work with machinists to make samples
● Altering standard patterns to fit private clientele
● Ensure the grading of the sizes is correct and proportional before going into
production
● good maths skills for measurements and calculations
● Able to assess first samples
● Possesses a good eye for detail, shape and proportion
● Knoweldge of fabric
Desired candidate profile
Requirements
- At least 15 years’ experience designing and cutting patterns
- Speaks English
