Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, etc.).
Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
Manage database security, users, roles, and privileges.
Perform routine maintenance and proactively respond to database alerts and incidents.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
Automate database administration tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL.
Support database patching, migrations, and upgrades.
Work closely with development and application support teams to optimize queries and improve database design.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6–8 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.
Expertise in Oracle 12c/19c on Linux/Unix platforms.
Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Experience with performance tuning tools (AWR, ADDM, SQL Trace).
Familiarity with Oracle patching and PSU application processes.
Understanding of ITIL processes and change management practices.
