Job Brief
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects
of our coffee shop operations. You will manage the day-to-day activities of our café, ensuring efficient
operations from the brewing station to customer service, supply chain, staffing, and logistics. This
hands-on role requires deep experience and leadership in managing coffee shop operations, particularly
in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment.
Your primary objective will be to maximize sales and revenue by consistently meeting and exceeding
customer expectations, fostering employee engagement, and maintaining a strong focus on quality and
efficiency.
Responsibilities
System Building:

• Design and implement operational systems from scratch to ensure scalability and sustainability as we

expand.

• Assist in executing the business plan and identify commercial opportunities to maximize income and

achieve financial targets.

• Support the development and costing of new menu items and seasonal offerings.
• Continuously improve workflows to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Establish KPIs and operational goals for the team, ensuring they are consistently met.

Operations & Service Delivery:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations, including front-of-house (customer service) and back-

of-house (preparation) functions, within budgeted guidelines.

• Ensure smooth and efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of product quality and

customer service.

• Develop, implement, and manage operationalsystems and processes to enhance productivity and

customer satisfaction.
Beverage & Service Quality Control:

• Set and maintain high-quality control standards for beverages and service.
• Conduct regular audits of preparation processes to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety

regulations.

• Collaborate closely with baristas and kitchen staff to optimize workflow and beverage presentation.

Staff Management:

• Coordinate with HR to recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring an efficient, motivated, and service-

oriented team.

• Create staff schedules and oversee performance to meet operational needs.
• Foster a positive work environment and build a strong team culture.

Logistics & Inventory Management:

• Develop and implement inventory controlsystems to ensure optimalstock levels and minimize waste.
• Oversee the procurement of coffee supplies, equipment, and other necessary resources while

maintaining strong supplier relationships.

• Monitor logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.

Accounting & Financial Oversight:

• Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost controls to ensure profitability.
• Track daily financial operations, including revenue, expenses, payroll, and inventory costs.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare reports and financial statements.

Supply Chain Management:

• Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent, high-quality product supply.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of coffee and beverage products.
• Monitor and optimize the supply chain to minimize delays and maintain inventory levels.

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent

work experience).

• Must have restaurant (continental food) & speciality coffee experiences.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the coffee or beverage industry,

with proven success in managing both preparation and customer service operations.

• Proven experience with start-up coffee shop operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Deep understanding of coffee logistics, supply chain management, and financial oversight.
• Ability to design and implement effective operationalsystems and procedures that align with current

trends and facilitate rapid expansion.
