Odoo Project Manager who will also act as a Lead Programmer for our ERP system development, customization, and implementation. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Accounting and Finance, hands-on technical expertise in Odoo ERP (v15+), and proven experience in project management.
This dual-role position demands both strategic oversight of ERP implementation and deep technical involvement to customize and optimize modules, particularly related to Accounting, Inventory, Sales, Manufacturing, HR, CRM, and Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead end-to-end implementation of Odoo ERP across multiple company departments.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and budgets for Odoo-related projects.
Coordinate between management, department heads, technical teams, and external consultants to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor project progress and report status updates regularly.
Ensure project scope, timeline, and quality requirements are met.
Organize training sessions and user acceptance testing (UAT) for staff.
Programming & Development:
Customize, develop, and extend Odoo modules (especially Accounting, Inventory, POS, Manufacturing, and CRM) as per business requirements.
Write clean, modular, and well-documented Odoo-specific Python code.
Create and maintain XML views, QWeb reports, workflows, and UI customizations.
Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and legacy systems with Odoo.Optimize database structure, data migrations, and performance tuning.
Accounting and Financial ERP Support:

• Design and customize the accounting module according to local compliance and company-specific workflows.Develop financial reports including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Cost Center Reports, and Batch Costing.

Map and automate accounting processes like billing, invoicing, stock valuation, project costing, payroll accounting, and tax reporting (VAT, withholding).
Assist in financial reconciliations and ERP-driven audits.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Odoo Certification).
3+ years of proven experience in Odoo development and implementation.
2+ years of project management experience (ERP-related projects preferred).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, and QWeb templating.
Deep knowledge of Odoo frameworks (Odoo.sh, Odoo Community, and Odoo Enterprise editions).
Strong understanding of Odoo Accounting, Inventory, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and CRM modules.
Hands-on experience in Odoo upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
Familiar with Linux-based servers, Docker containers, and basic server management.
Understanding of Analytic Accounts, Batch P&L, FIFO Costing, Multi-Company Setup in Odoo.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
