Network Security Engineer
A Network Security Engineer is one of the vital members of any significant or mid-sized
organization. He is a professional involved in positioning, configuration, provisioning, and
administration of several different pieces of network and security-related hardware and
software. Network Security engineers are usually involved in the security aspect of the
networking system. Safeguarding the organization’s network in line with business goals or
objective is quintessential for network engineers
- Strong IT security experience ideally focused on intrusion detection/network security
monitoring and/or working with cyber threat intelligence
- A strong understanding of the information security threat landscape, including detailed
technical knowledge about the most prevalent threat groups, malware, attack methods,
and vulnerabilities
- Configure, plan, install, maintain, and optimize network systems, equipment, and
applications ensuring network protocols and security policies are used effectively
- Hands on expertise on Next-Gen firewalls eg Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, Forcepoint,
URL Filtering, Basic routing switching concepts
