· Degree level or higher in Electrical , Electronic Engineering

· M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics)

· Power electronics and electrical schematics ( Power MOSFETS and IGBTS including reliable gate drive designs)

· Industrial field bus communication protocols

· Debugging electronics with Oscilloscope

· Various motor technologies including some or all of the following :

Permanent Magnet Motors (interior and surface)

Induction Motors

Switched reluctance Motors

DC motors

· Phase Motor inverters including some or all of the following:

Understanding of various PWM schemes such as space vector modulation , PWM (pulse width modulation)

Position encoders

· Control methods including some or all of the following:

Design and Implement Various motor control algorithms

Vector control (FOC,DTC, SVPWM)

Scalar control (V/F)

Understanding of Higher level control schemes such as feedback, feedforward and model predictive control

· Software / Simulation tools, some experience of the following is preferable:

Capability of developing high-quality C/C++ code in an embedded microcontroller environment , Embedded real time coding

Real-time operating systems (RTOS)

Matlab / Simulink.

· Absorb and Learn new technologies , able to work alone with minimum guidance

· Able to manage multiple tasks , set priorities , Flexible – priorities can change in a short time

· Able to work independently to analyze and resolve problems and create new designs with little supervision

• Design motor control algorithms. , embedded motor drives at hard and firmware level

• Coding, validating and debugging where changes to software are required.

• Verify control module functionality on hardware in the loop bench

• Documenting the coding and validation.

• Providing support to team for all aspects of motor specifications and control.

• engaged in the research of new motor control technology (vector control / direct torque control, position sensorless control, field weakening control, parameter identification, high speed motor drive control, etc.),

• Maintain awareness of new, novel motor control algorithms and the key motor control technologies
