Military Wire Harness & Cable Systems Engineer
KSA · April 25, 2026
Hiring Status Unconfirmed
Key responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Military Wire Harness & Cable Systems
Engineer to serve as the primary technical authority for the design review, fabrication, and
quality assurance of complex military electrical cable assemblies and wire harnesses. This
role demands a rare combination of deep engineering knowledge and hands-on fabrication
expertise, as the successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between
engineering documentation and the shop floor — ensuring that every assembly is accurate,
compliant, and optimally produced.
The ideal candidate is a meticulous professional with extensive experience in military-grade
electrical systems, a thorough understanding of MIL-SPEC standards, and the practical
capability to not only execute fabrication processes but to identify and resolve engineering
discrepancies before they reach production. This is a critical, high-visibility role within our
organization.
Desired candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace
Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. An equivalent combination of
formal education and demonstrated military/defense industry experience may be
considered.
A minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in the fabrication, assembly, and
testing of complex military wire harnesses and cable assemblies for defense
applications.
Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of Military Standards (MIL-SPEC) governing
electrical cables, wire harnesses, and associated manufacturing processes.
Proven experience working with engineering documentation packages for military
platforms, including air defense systems, military aircraft, or armored vehicles.
Hands-on proficiency with specialized wire harness fabrication equipment, including
tensioning tools, harness boards, automated label applicators, precision crimping
systems, and electrical test equipment.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and critically evaluate complex engineering drawings,
wiring schematics, and assembly documentation — and to identify errors or
inconsistencies with confidence.
Experience in reverse engineering of cable assemblies and wire harnesses for
optimization, documentation, or repair purposes.
Solid understanding of quality management systems and inspection methodologies
applicable to defense manufacturing environments.
Excellent organizational skills with a strong aptitude for maintaining structured,
traceable records and managing multiple tasks with precision and accountability.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to
communicate technical findings clearly and confidently to engineering teams,
management, and clients.
Presentable, professional demeanor suitable for direct client and stakeholder
interaction in a high-standard defense contracting environment.
