Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes of steel products, including square tubes, angle lines, lipped channels, and IPE beams. This role demands a strong background in steel fabrication, production engineering, and process optimization to ensure high-quality output and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process Oversight:

Supervise and optimize the production processes for steel tubing and various steel products.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations during manufacturing.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the production line.
Product Development and Improvement:

Work on the design and development of new steel products and improvements to existing products.
Collaborate with the design team to enhance product specifications and performance.
Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and tests on finished products and production processes.
Equipment Management:

Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
Process Optimization:

Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Team Collaboration:

Work closely with production staff, quality assurance teams, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Provide technical support and training to team members as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, process changes, and quality control measures.
Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and issues to management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in steel manufacturing or a related industrial sector.
In-depth knowledge of steel products and manufacturing processes, including steel tubing, square tubes, angle lines, lipped channels, and IPE beams.
Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise in machinery and equipment.
Experience with quality control and process optimization in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:

Professional Engineering Certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE).
Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
