Marketing Manager (MM)

Job Description:

• Develop the marketing strategy for local and export markets in line with company’s objectives. Present the strategy to management for approval. Execute on the strategy and deliver as per targets set.
• Manage and build sales and marketing team ensuring proper support, feedback, review, development, and targets for all team members.
• Meet and exceed target requirements in terms of customer acquisition, lead generation, revenue, gross margin, and customer satisfaction both for local and export markets. Targets will be set annually by the management and reviewed on monthly basis.
• Strengthening existing customer relationships and developing new relationships both in local and export markets with regular visits to customers and appropriate marketing events/tradeshows. Maintain and manage CRM system effectively.
• Monitoring competition, market pricing, new products and market requirements and presenting to the management on a regular
• Responsible for maintaining the CRM database and preparing reports for the MD on a monthly basis
• Work with the Managing Director, Production team, Accounts/Admin Department regarding customer service, timely submission of offers, quotations, production, delivery, collections and making company operations more efficient. Take ownership end-end for all client interaction from sales to delivery to payment.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as Marketing Manager or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree (civil engineering with marketing preferred) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years industry experience with at least 3 years managing a marketing team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to create and do effective presentations (PowerPoint).
• Experience in social media marketing and handling of various portals

Salary / Benefits / Other details:

• Location – Mesh & Steel Trading Ltd, Mauritius
• Salary – To be mutually agreed
• Accommodation – rental included in salary

Water / electricity / telephone bills paid by MM

• Transport – Company Car will be provided with Fuel for home run / business activities
• Probation Period - 6 (six) months with notice 15 days either party
• Regular Employment - w.e.f 7th month onwards with notice 30 days either party
• Salary Revision – annual based on performance and Management’s discretion.
• Overtime – not payable
• Annual Bonus - Based on performance of the Company
• Local Leave / Sick Leave – as per Labour Laws of Kenya and unused refunded annually
• Occupational Permit costs – paid by Company and obtain on arrival
• Paid Home Leave – 30 days after completion of 2 years successful / satisfactory service
• Economy Airfare – incoming one way to join Company and Home Leave return ticket paid by Company
• Income tax – Payable by MM
• Family – if married, family to join after successful completion of 6 (six) month Probation Period with Economy Air Tickets paid by Company. If called to join earlier MM to pay the Airfare and obtain refund after completion of Probation Period.
• Service termination by Company – Company bears home return Airfare
• Resignations by MM – MM to bear home return Airfare
• Notice Period – specified above but Company and/or MM have option to pay salary for early release without serving notice period
• Upon completion of the selection of the candidate and agreement in principle on the terms and conditions of employment, candidate will be required to visit Kenya for four weeks wherein the candidate buys the return Economy Air Ticket and the Company provide the boarding / lodging / local transport providing the opportunity to the candidate to see the work place , local conditions, meet the team members and sign the formal Letter of Appointment. No salary shall be payable to MM

50% of the cost of the Air Ticket shall be refunded by the Company upon arrival in Kenya and balance 50% shall be refunded upon the candidate’s successfully joining the Company.
In case the Company rejects the candidate during this first visit then the Company shall refund the balance 50% of the Air Ticket immediately.

• Overseas Home Leave is for 30 days meaning one calendar month and not based on 30 working days.

The Home Leave shall be provided after successful completion of full 24 months service with return air ticket but payment for the 30 days Home Leave only to be effected after return and resuming duties in Kenya.

In case Home Leave has not been used upon completion of 24 months service, Companies are free to pay one month basic salary only in lieu of not taking Home Leave. In this case the next Home Leave shall be after completion of 48 month of successful service.

No Expat shall be released for Home Leave prior to completion of 24 months service.

• Payment of Annual Bonus if any / Refund of Local Leave & Sick Leave is done at end of each year.

However in case the Expat takes Overseas Home Leave the above payment shall be withheld until return to normal duty
