We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lab Technician with a Diploma in Lab Technology or an equivalent qualification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and procedures that are critical to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) following standard laboratory procedures.
Perform routine and specialized tests, including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology assays.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.
Ensure all laboratory work is performed in compliance with safety guidelines and protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate test results effectively.
Manage and organize lab supplies and inventory, ensuring timely replenishment of necessary items.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs to maintain the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Assist in the training and supervision of junior lab staff and interns.
Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Lab Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Valid certification and registration with the relevant professional body
experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
Proficiency in conducting a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures.
Strong understanding of laboratory safety and quality control protocols.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
