Job Objective
Supervise and guide testing and calibration of Field Instrument devices. Supervise and advise Engineering/Construction activities for the KRPC DCS project.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage overall engineering activities, either within or across disciplines for DCS and any other mini projects involved in Quick Fix. Interface with detail engineering contractor to coordinate activities.
Provide expert support for technical review of engineering documents issued during the project.
Engage in site visits to confirm status and justify report scope issues, and physically inspect contents of material inventory from KRPC and address any potential issues.
Review and manage project and general specifications, engineering procedures, and technical documents.
Coordinate interdisciplinary checks, design reviews, and HAZOPS or similar studies/reviews.
Review and validate all recommendations from Quickfix contractor and any other engineering subcontractor on required long lead items to be procured.
Review and validate all recommendations from Quickfix contractor representatives and any other engineering subcontractors on required Instrumentation works, remedial actions, repairs, rehabilitation, design upgrades, and other critical interventions necessary to restore reliable operations.
Conduct unit-by-unit oversight analysis of technical documents and results of activities, studies, and analyses carried out by Quickfix contractor and any other engineering subcontractor.
Review operating and maintenance procedures.
Provide technical support and monitoring during manufacturer equipment testing, mechanical/construction completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, plant start-up, and handover.
Manage and coordinate critical interfaces.
Assist in the selection of vendors/sub-contractors/sub-vendors.
Review documentation for all project instrumentation activities and ensure proper archiving.
Train and develop Engineeer
Desired candidate profile
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer.
Minimum 15 years of experience covering project execution, plant maintenance, and DCS implementation experience in greenfield/brownfield projects; additional experience in field instrumentation is an asset.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of refinery/petrochemical engineering construction methods, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
Maintenance experience in Refinery/Petrochemicals.
Proven experience in mentoring and training young engineers in industry best practices
