The overall responsibility of the position will be to keep the day-to-day operations of the home running smoothly. This will include but not limited to the following:

• Overseeing the general operations of the home (cars, buildings, gardens, grounds and pool)
• Assisting in the planning, organizing and coordination of events
• Scheduling home maintenance and repair work and supervising the

project/s

• Supervise the work of contractors, service people, artisans, and all other household and non-household employees assuring the best quality of work, and adherence to all household standards and expectations
• Provide leadership and good example of the utmost in professional service standards.
• Look after all guests.
• Running errands and performing necessary tasks
• Supervision of other household staff such as housekeepers, cleaners, cooking staff, gardening staff
• Shopping for food, supplies and other requested items

• Other duties may include:

o Home cleaning dutie
o Cooking meals for the family
o Laundering and putting away clothing and changing linens
o Provide oversight of all household activities assuring timely and high quality completion of all tasks.

• Security:

o Provide oversight level security
o Remain ever aware and watchful
o Recognize vulnerabilities and bring to the attention of employer .
o Responsible for the security of the house overnight

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience: (Desired Candidature)

• Proven Service Skills - Ideally have experience in a similar role with a private family or have experience within a customer focused position within the hospitality sector
• Excellent communication skills - Ability to communicate with the other staff but also create clear and open lines of communication between himself and the family to ensure that all needs and problems are handled quickly and efficiently. The house manager is the point

of contact for outside vendors and service providers, so it's imperative that he clearly communicate with the family about living environment issues, such as construction and cleaning etc.

• Staff Management - Employee scheduling, task delegation, supervision, hiring and firing, even workplace safety training: these are just a few of the many responsibilities you may be required to fill
• Household Cleaning Skills - Although this role may not include the bulk of daily household cleaning responsibilities, it is important to have a strong base and skills related to housecleaning and the upkeep of the home

• RESPONSIBILITY - MUST DEMONSTRATE STRENGTH OF CHARACTER AND HIGH LEVELS OF RESPONSIBILITY.

• ORGANIZATION – THE ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND ENSURE THAT ALL THE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS OF THE HOME ARE COMPLETED TIMEOUSLY AND AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF QUALITY

• TECHNICAL SKILLS - THE ABILITY TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN GENERAL HOUSEHOLD SYSTEMS, ELECTRICS ETC.

• FLEXIBILITY – AS THIS IS THE PRIVATE RESIDENCE OF THE FAMILY, THE WORKING HOURS/DAYS WILL BE VARIED BASED ON THE CHANGING SCHEDULE OF THE FAMILY AND THEREFORE THE HIRE CANDIDATE NEEDS TO BE COMMITTED AND FLEXIBLE TO ADJUST THEIR WORKING SCHEDULE (DAYS AND

HOURS) BASED ON THE NEEDS OF THE FAMILY.
