Key responsibilities

As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a hotel to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction while maintaining profitability. You will work closely with all departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. The role requires exceptional communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage a team of employees effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the hotel runs smoothly: The hotel manager will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food service.

They will work to ensure that all departments are operating efficiently and providing exceptional service to guests.

  1. Manage and motivate staff: The hotel manager will oversee all employees and ensure that they are properly trained and motivated to provide exceptional service to guests. They will also manage employee schedules and ensure that adequate staffing is in place to meet guest needs.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures: The hotel manager will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction. They will ensure that all policies are communicated effectively to all staff.
  3. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment: The hotel manager will maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment and order additional supplies as needed. They will also ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  4. Ensure the hotel is properly maintained: The hotel manager will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel is properly maintained and that repairs and renovations are completed as needed.

They will also be responsible for overseeing any construction projects.

  1. Monitor financial performance: The hotel manager will monitor the hotel's financial performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability. They will also be responsible for creating and managing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
  2. Develop relationships with vendors and suppliers: The hotel manager will develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local businesses to promote the hotel and attract new business.
  3. Respond to guest complaints: The hotel manager will respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all guest feedback is addressed and used to improve the guest experience.
  4. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations: The hotel manager will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel is in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  5. Develop and implement marketing strategies: The hotel manager will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel and increase occupancy rates. They will also be responsible for managing the hotel's online presence and reputation.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and motivate employees.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food service.
  • Understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
