Position: Head of Regulatory Affairs

Department/Function: Regulatory Affairs
Key Responsibilities:
 Lead the overall regulatory affairs and effectively manage regulatory affairs team
 Establish and maintain liaison and effective connection with the officials of regulatory
authorities such as but not limited to: Ministry of Information (MOI), Post & Telecommunication
Division (PDT), BTRC, BSCL, BTV, NBR and Bangladesh Bank as well as with COAB and ATCO
 Drive required actions and initiatives against piracy and unclean feed providers, through
continuous persuasion to related authorities involving filed administration and law enforcement
agencies
 Take proactive steps to bring required amendments in government policies and regulations
related to DTH operation and duties/fees
 Update the management with recent and upcoming developments/changes/amendments in
relevant government regulations and policies as well as about new regulations
 Ensure that all required licenses/agreements/contracts/MOUs from government regulatory
authorities are executed and renewed in due time
 Ensure on-time approval of content related remittance from Bangladesh Bank
 Establish point of contacts and source of information from the competitors/stakeholders in
content and media industry
 Examine and analyze current work practices and procedures of the company related to
regulatory affairs and come up with findings and recommendations
 Develop SOP for the effective operation of regulatory affairs function
 Make frequent visits and have meetings with government officials from regulatory authorities,
as and when necessary

Additional Requirements:
 Minimum 15 years’ experience of working with government regulatory authorities
 Candidates from DTH industry are highly preferable
 Have the physical fitness and willingness to travel across the country, whenever required
