Department Leadership & People Management

• Lead, coach and evaluate all Project Managers, with clear roles, scorecards and performance expectations.
• Allocate projects based on capability, workload, geography and organizational priorities.
• Review delivery performance, address capability gaps and support team development and hiring.

Multi-State Project Delivery

• Oversee simultaneous projects across states, from mobilisation and planning through closure and handover.
• Review scope, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, site progress and corrective actions.
• Establish common execution processes and undertake site visits to verify on-ground progress.

Strategic Planning & Resource Management

• Translate organisational priorities into departmental delivery plans and resource requirements.
• Review project feasibility, priorities and interdependencies before execution.
• Coordinate across design, construction, finance, legal, procurement and implementation teams.

Budget & Financial Management

• Oversee project-wise budgets, expenditure, fund utilisation and cost variances.
• Identify overruns early, initiate corrective measures and escalate changes requiring approval.
• Partner with Finance and Procurement to ensure disciplined use of approved resources.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

• Set consistent quality checks against approved specifications and contractual commitments.
• Identify portfolio-level risks, including delays, shortages, vendor issues and regulatory requirements.
• Lead mitigation plans and resolve escalations beyond individual Project Managers.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

• Coordinate with leadership, CSR partners, clients, vendors and implementation teams.
• Maintain transparent communication on commitments, progress and critical decisions.
• Balance stakeholder expectations with delivery quality and responsible project outcomes.

Management Reporting & Governance

• Maintain a consolidated dashboard of project milestones, budgets, risks and completion status.
• Run weekly Project Manager reviews and monthly departmental performance reviews.
• Ensure documentation, approvals, project closure records and lessons learned are captured.

Decision-Making Authority

• Assign projects, prioritise work and deploy approved departmental resources.
• Set review processes, reporting standards and corrective action plans.
• Recommend major budget, contract or scope changes for authorised approval.

Lead the Project Management Department and
take end-to-end accountability for delivery of the full multi-state project portfolio.
Manage all Project Managers, ensure projects meet approved scope, timelines,
budgets and quality requirements, and resolve critical execution challenges.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMandatory: Relevant bachelor’s degree; recommended 12+ years in project delivery, including 5+ years leading Project Managers or multi-disciplinary teams.Mandatory: Proven simultaneous multi-location project delivery, budget oversight, vendor coordination, stakeholder management and performance reporting.Preferred: Civil/infrastructure, construction, CSR, education infrastructure or development-sector projects; postgraduate qualification or PMP/PRINCE2.Willingness to travel across India.
