The Head of Product & Engineering is a senior Head of department responsible for
providing strategic and operational leadership for the Product & Engineering Department
by overseeing the design, development, delivery, security, reliability, and continuous
improvement of the Company's digital products, technology platforms, data infrastructure,
and engineering operations.
The incumbent is accountable for ensuring that technology capabilities support business
growth, customer experience, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and
innovation while establishing a high-performing engineering culture.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technology & Product Strategy

• Develop and implement the Company's technology and product strategy aligned

with business objectives.

• Establish and maintain a rolling technology roadmap that supports business growth

and digital transformation.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate innovations to

enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

• Advise Executive Management on technology investments, risks, and opportunities.

1. Product Development & Delivery

• Oversee the end-to-end development and delivery of all digital products and platforms.

Ensure product roadmaps align with business priorities and customer needs.

• Drive efficient delivery processes and maintain high-quality software development

standards.

• Establish governance frameworks for release management, change control, and

product lifecycle management.

1. Engineering Leadership

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, mobile

development, design, DevOps, and platform operations.

• Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, coding practices,

and architectural principles.

• Build a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and

succession readiness.

1. Platform Operations & Reliability

• Ensure stability, scalability, performance, and resilience of all production systems.
• Oversee application environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and

operational controls.

• Ensure effective incident management, disaster recovery planning, backup

management, and business continuity readiness.

• Maintain agreed service levels and operational performance standards.

1. Information Security & Risk Management

• Provide executive oversight of application security and technology risk

management.

• Ensure appropriate controls are in place to protect Company systems, customer

information, and business data.

• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, access governance, and

security incident response.

• Support compliance with regulatory requirements, audit recommendations, and

internal control frameworks.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Executive Management and departmental heads to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Compliance, Risk, Finance, HR, Internal

Audit, ICT, and external technology partners.

• Serve as the primary escalation point for technology-related matters.

1. Budget & Resource Management

• Prepare and manage departmental budgets in collaboration with Finance.
• Monitor technology expenditure and ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Evaluate technology procurement requirements and vendor performance.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.

1. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Champion modern engineering practices, automation, AI-assisted productivity tools,

and data-driven decision-making.

• Drive efficiency improvements across software delivery, operations, and customer experience.

EDUCATION AND QUALITIFACTION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information

Technology, or related discipline or equivalent experience. MBA would be an added
advantage.

• 10+ years of experience in leading teams with data engineers, software engineers,

cloud architects, and analysts (or data scientists) to deliver data and analytics
work products in financial service, financial trading or capital market environment.

• Proven experience in building and managing Investment, trading or financial data

technology platforms.
REQUIREMENT

• Solid experience building and scaling internal platforms that enable multiple

products and teams.

• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, data

architects, and infrastructure engineers.

• Strong understanding of market data feeds, trade lifecycle, and financial data

models.

• Exposure to Financial service industry/ Capital Market environment.
• Brings structure and pace to complex environments – you enjoy simplifying, setting

standards and driving adoption.

• Extensive experience leading complex Technology programs and portfolios within

financial service, investment or Capital Market environment

• Strong understanding of data capture and dashboard development.
• Uses data to prioritize and manage performance – you define outcomes, baseline,

measure and adjust.

• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
