KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures that there is effective oversight for the day to day operations of the distllery
Lead the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Ensure operations complies with all required regulations
Direct support functions including finance, engineering, procurement, quality assurance, production and human resources to ensure alignment with overall operations.
Ensures there is an effective framework of governance which provides the direction and parameters within which business is to be conducted, aligns accountabilities and authorities and defines required standards and guidelines and to increase productivity
Reviews activity reports and financial statements of the Company to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing manufacturing standards
Provides overall leadership and support for all staff and management by creating the appropriate culture and character of the venue through his/her own personal and professional conduct
Establishes and retains commercial partnerships to support the Company’s growth objectives
Increases management's effectiveness by supporting recruiting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to foster an environment of productivity.
Accomplishes the Company’s strategic objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress/achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions in the market
Directs and coordinates formulation of financial plans of the Company to provide financing for new or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments and increase productivity
Captures, analyses and interprets financial and operating statements/reports in order to assess the performance of the Company against established standards in efficiency, effectiveness and the use of resources
Ensures that appropriate use be made of information technology to support and facilitate the achievement of company goals and objectives

An Undergraduate Degree in Business Production Operations Management, Chemistry or a relevant discipline.
Minimum 10 years of senior management experience and a proven track record as a successful executive, with the ability to drive and advocate transformational change.
Experience working at a distillery and supervising the distillation of spirits
Experience in interpreting financial reports
Sound understanding of manufacturing, procurement policies and procedures, systems and protocols
Experience in congo preferred
