Key responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical analysis, design, and project management, and will be capable of leading complex projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Geotechnical Analysis and Design:
Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and analysis.
Develop and review geotechnical reports, including recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and soil-structure interaction.
Perform engineering calculations and simulations for various geotechnical engineering problems.
Project Management:
Manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve issues.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to clients and regulatory bodies.
Fieldwork and Site Investigations:
Oversee field investigations, including the supervision of drilling operations, sampling, and in-situ testing.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices during fieldwork.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Review and validate geotechnical designs and analyses performed by team members.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure best practices are applied.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the quality and accuracy of all geotechnical engineering deliverables.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
Desired candidate profile
B.Eng./B.Sc. Geotechnical Engineering ( 8 years experiences);
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (B.Eng. or B.Sc.).
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in managing geotechnical projects and leading field investigations.
Strong knowledge of geotechnical software and tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders professionally.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced degree (M.Sc. or M.Eng.) in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
Experience with specialized geotechnical analysis and design software.
Familiarity with local and national geotechnical engineering standards and codes.
Working Conditions:
Office-based with occasional fieldwork required.
May involve travel to project sites and meetings with clients
