You will be in charge of handling the operational, management and expansion of the grocery
chain business. This includes managing inventories, recruiting staff, budgeting, enforcing
safety policies, ordering products, analyzing sales performance and coming up with business
proposals. Key requirements for this function are sound academic and industrial expertise in
the management of grocery stores. Leadership, organizational skills, commercial awareness,
managerial abilities, and analytical thinking are key to this position.

Responsibilities:
● Lead the set up and expansion of the supermarket/ supply chain of convenience
store through creating business proposals and executing them
● Improve profit and attain sales target of the supermarket
● Recruit and interview new staff for the supermarket to grow the team and business
● Deal with all complaints, queries, and other related customer service issues
● Organize training, orientation, and supervise all departmental managers
● Oversee receiving orders and stock control
● Assign and schedule tasks for specific employees and also follow up on the results
they generate
● Complete all the operational requirements of the store
● Appraise, monitor, and plan tasks to be given to individual staff members
● Discipline, counsel, and coach employees to maintain positive result generation
● Initiate corrective actions, analyze variance, schedule expenditure, and prepare
annual budget aside achieving other financial objectives of the organization
● Recognize future and present requirements by customers
● Maintain inventories and approve contracts to ensure consistent availability of the
required services and merchandise

● Study trends, authorize clearance sales and also determine all required sales
promotions
● Review merchandising by formulating pricing policies
● Study display plans, sales promotions, and advertising towards marketing
merchandise in a profitable manner

Degree in Retail Management or related fields, with more than 7 years of industry
experience and 5 years of management experience in the area of grocery chain
management
