Position Overview: The Foreman/Site Manager will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, managing site personnel, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to project plans and safety regulations. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills to drive project success and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee all site activities, ensuring that construction work is carried out according to project specifications, plans, and timelines.
Team Supervision: Manage and lead site personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring effective teamwork.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and comply with legal requirements.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and communication on-site.
Resource Management: Oversee the use of materials, equipment, and labor, ensuring efficient utilization and minimizing waste.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any incidents or issues.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site, including technical problems, delays, or conflicts.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to project managers regarding site progress, issues, and any changes to project scope.
Desired candidate profile
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in construction or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site personnel effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
