Summary
The Farm Manager must have proven record of success in project management with experience
and passion for plantation development. A background in engineering, finance and agriculture
would be useful for putting together this complex by rewarding business venture. Proven track
record of honesty/integrity is required. The person will take over the management of all the
aspects of this project.
Duties
 Financial Planning: A thorough financial planning of the project is necessary. We want to
proceed at this stage by having a detailed feasibility study which takes account of all the
outstanding issues and comes out with an orderly way to execute the project.
 Hire the right people to undertake the timbering operation.
 Supervise timber harvesting on the farm
 Arrange the sale of the timber to generate income for the project.
 Monitor palm-oil production from cultivation to finished produce.
 Ensure that the mobile sawmill is effectively and efficiently maximized.
 Arrange and ensure effective land clearing using both machine and manual clearing.
 Liaise with prospective investors who would like to cooperate with us by providing farm
inputs and at what price and what basis.
 Liaise with government agencies when necessary to ensure smooth operation.
 Ensure compliance with all operations regulatory requirements.
 Any other assigned duties.

Requirements
 First degree in Engineering, Finance or Agric. related courses
 Minimum of 8 -10 years’ experience in similar field
 Experience and Certification in Project Management especially in oil palm processing is
an added advantage
 Must be an Expatriate
 Must have worked in Nigeria
 IT Literate and hands on, as well as have the ability to make business decisions
 Should be over 40 years of age and happily married and settled
 Ability to pay attention to details
 Excellent financial and business management
 Coordination and planning
 Interpersonal skills
 Managerial skills
 Good track record of harmonious successful collaboration with others to achieve mutual
objectives.
 Should be able to spend time at company guest house at Oban.
 Should be in good health and his/her partner should be in good health.
