Key responsibilities
Education & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Fabrication
5–10 years hands-on experience in fabrication / heavy engineering / manufacturing
Experience in structural steel, process equipment, plant layouts
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting (fabrication & assembly)
Good SolidWorks 3D modelling & assemblies
Fabrication & assembly drawings (shop-floor ready)
BOM preparation & material take-offs
GD&T knowledge
Reading & interpreting mechanical drawings
Understanding of manufacturing & welding processes
Industry Background (Preferred)
Heavy fabrication / heavy engineering
Process plants, pressure vessels, structural fabrication
Manufacturing units / EPC / industrial projects
Behavioural & Soft Skills
High attention to detail & accuracy
Strong problem-solving
Good time management & multitasking
Ability to coordinate with production, vendors & site
Good English communication (Zambia exposure)
Desired candidate profile
Qualification: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical)
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Prepare manufacturing, fabrication & assembly drawings
Prepare Bill of Material (BOM)
Work on AutoCAD (2D) & SolidWorks (3D)
Support manufacturing & production teams
Exposure to structural & processing plant drawings
