Purpose:

energy auditing engineer to handle all energy audit, implementation, and
M&V jobs.

Scope: To provide a full service since initial site walk-through, contracting,
auditing, management approval on reports, doing investment grad auditing,
implementing recommended and agreed measures, doing M&V routing jobs.

Reporting To:  Energy Efficiency Dept.
Concept of Responsibilities:
 An energy auditing engineer is required for an energy company of a holding group since 1983 in
KSA. The candidate is preferred to be aware in auditing filed, preparing audit techno-commercial
proposals and reports, very wiled experience in energy and maintenance fields.
Conduct complex energy consumption and demand analysis

1. Research and interpret applicable energy and environmental regulations to ensure compliance
2. Analyze current energy usage and develop energy management plans
3. Identify problems impacting energy consumption in order to recommend energy conservation

and efficiency measures

1. Inspect or evaluate building envelopes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or process

systems to determine the energy consumption of each system.

1. Analyze technical feasibility of energy saving measures using knowledge of engineering, energy

production, energy use, construction, maintenance, system operation, or process systems.

1. Determine patterns (trend analysis) of building use to show annual or monthly needs for heating,

cooling, lighting, or other energy needs.

1. Educate customers on energy efficiency or answer questions on topics such as the costs of

running household appliances or the selection of energy efficient appliances.

1. Identify opportunities to improve the operation, maintenance, or energy efficiency of building or

process systems.

1. Oversee installation of equipment such as water heater wraps, pipe insulation, weatherstripping,

door sweeps, or low flow showerheads to improve energy efficiency.

1. Prepare job specification sheets for home energy improvements, such as attic insulation, window

retrofits, or heating system upgrades.

1. Examine commercial sites to determine the feasibility of installing equipment that allows

building management systems to reduce electricity consumption during peak demand periods.

1. Inspect newly installed energy-efficient equipment to ensure that it was installed properly and is

performing according to specifications.

 Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
o BSc, MCs, PhD degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related
discipline
o 5+ years’ experience in large energy systems for industrial complexes
o Comprehensive understanding of energy supply, energy modeling, energy analysis, O&M,
financial modeling.
o Knowledge of HVAC, lighting systems, mechanical systems
design, and operation
o Fluency in English required.
o Having proofed recorded in energy auditing.
