Key Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Solar System Installation

• Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems (residential & commercial).
• Mount solar panels on roofs and ground structures according to engineering drawings.
• Perform DC wiring and connections between panels, inverters, and batteries.
• Install hybrid, on-grid, and off-grid solar systems.

1. Grid & Off-Grid Electrical Work

• Configure and commission grid-tied solar systems.
• Install and manage off-grid power solutions.
• Synchronize solar systems with utility grid supply.
• Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems.
• Perform load calculations and system sizing support.

1. Battery Storage Systems

• Install and configure lithium-ion and other battery storage systems.
• Monitor battery performance and safety parameters.

• Diagnose battery faults and perform replacements when required.

1. Inverter & System Configuration

• Install and configure solar inverters (hybrid/on-grid/off-grid).
• Program inverter settings and monitoring systems.
• Integrate monitoring platforms and remote system diagnostics.
• Perform system commissioning and testing.

1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose electrical and solar system faults.
• Repair wiring, inverters, batteries, and solar components.
• Respond to technical service calls and emergencies.

1. Safety & Compliance

• Follow electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Ensure installations comply with local electrical codes.
• Maintain proper documentation and installation reports.
• Use PPE and ensure safe work practices at all times.

1. Testing & Performance Monitoring

• Test system output and efficiency.
• Perform voltage, current, and insulation testing.
• Optimize system performance and energy efficiency.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare installation reports and commissioning checklists.
• Record maintenance activities and technical findings.
• Provide feedback to management on system improvements.

Primary Objective
Candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in the relevant electrical and solar
energy field (grid and off-grid systems).
Ability to conduct electrical site surveys at customer premises, including:

• Assessing installation feasibility
• Load evaluation and system recommendations
• Identifying technical requirements before installation

Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with clients and
team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in solar PV installation.

• Strong experience with grid-connected and off-grid systems.
• Knowledge of battery storage systems (Lithium preferred).
• Experience with hybrid inverters.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Electrical certification or diploma required.
• Experience working on residential and commercial solar projects.

Preferred (Bonus Skills)

• EV charger installation experience.
• Solar monitoring software knowledge.
• International installation experience.
• Troubleshooting advanced inverter faults.

Tools & Competencies

• Electrical testing tools (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester).
• Solar commissioning tools.
• Basic computer skills for system configuration.
