Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design Assistant / Junior Designer to join our
atelier in Amman. This role is pivotal in supporting the design team's creative process
step-by-step and contributing to the development of collections.
Responsibilities

1. Creativity & Design

● Ability to quickly visualize ideas from abstract sketches
● Basic garment sketching and technical drawings (by hand/digital)
● Digital design renders
● Strong eye for color palettes, fabrics, and textures
● Textile print design
● Familiarity with embroidery materials and artworks
● Research and design concept ideation
● Collaborate with senior designers to select and source materials, trims, and
embellishments

1. Technical Expertise

● Garment construction knowledge: understanding how clothing is made, including
cuts, stitching, and fit
● Basic understanding of pattern making and sewing
● Familiarity with high-end fabrics and how they behave
● Ability to create detailed print design packs and embroidery packs for production
● Excellent proficiency of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
● Obsession with quality and precision, prioritizing craftsmanship and attention to detail
● Contribute feedback on garment fit and construction during fit sessions

1. Collaboration & Communication

● Taking feedback and executing design revisions quickly
● Working under tight deadlines
● Supporting senior designers and collaborating with pattern makers and production
teams
● Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials, including moodboards,
sketches, and samples

Requirements

• Education in Fashion Design (womenswear), not

marketing/business/branding/history OR// practical experience in the
production/merchandising department

• Minimum 2 internships in fashion brands
• Graduation collection in which the patterns and sewing was mostly done by the

candidate

• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
• Deadline-oriented, punctual and multi-tasker
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Autonomous and able to work both independently without micromanaging and

within a team

• Excellent proficiency in English (spoken and written)
