We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Derivative Commodity Trader to join our trading team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in their current or previous roles. This role requires a highly independent individual capable of driving trading functions with minimal supervision while effectively covering commodity markets.
Key Responsibilities:

Trading Strategy:

Develop and execute trading strategies for commodity derivatives, including futures, options, and swaps.
Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and other relevant data to inform trading decisions.
Market Coverage:

Monitor and trade in commodity markets, including but not limited to energy, metals, and agricultural products.
Stay updated with market developments and news that could impact commodity prices.
Risk Management:

Implement risk management strategies to protect against adverse market movements.
Continuously assess and adjust trading positions to align with risk tolerance and market conditions.
Performance Tracking:

Track and report on trading performance, including profitability, risk metrics, and compliance with trading strategies.
Maintain detailed records of trades and market analysis for internal review and reporting.
Independent Operation:

Operate with minimal supervision, taking initiative to drive the trading function and make informed decisions.
Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed, but primarily manage trading responsibilities independently.
Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to trading activities.
Stay informed about changes in regulations that may affect trading strategies and practices.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of relevant experience in trading commodity derivatives, with a proven track record of success.
Strong understanding of commodity markets, derivatives products, and trading strategies.
Ability to analyze complex market data and make informed trading decisions independently.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage risk effectively and adhere to regulatory compliance.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
