General Roles and ResponsibiliƟes;
-Market research and development acƟviƟes for immediate vicinity of Lusaka, followed by Regionwise targeƟng with focus on prominent farmer/ trader/ stockiest idenƟficaƟon, adverƟsing and
promoƟon plans, understanding the crop sectors, target markets and tradiƟonal seasonal trends
-Company Assets, Stocks and Cash custodian
-Pricing, packaging and quality issues coordinaƟon with head office
-Coordinate with head office for re-stocking on regular basis as per demand and seasonal projecƟons
-GeneraƟng sales leads and orders and Monthly sales ProjecƟon cycle based on research, demand
and seasons.
-Coordinate with head office on submission of daily, monthly and annual reporƟng requirements
(sales reports, expense reports, daily banking summary, stock reconciliaƟons etc.)
-Weekly stock counƟng and reconciliaƟon
-New product research and idenƟficaƟon in coordinaƟon with head office and ground trends
-Local staff idenƟficaƟon, recruitment and delegaƟon and supervision as appropriate (planning,
implemenƟng and monitoring); cleaner/ helper, driver and sales persons
-Regular team debriefings and team building
-Maintenance of relevant databases for research, planning, reporƟng and follow ups
-Maintenance of all company hard copy records; books of accounts, statutory items, vehicle logs etc
-Planning sale trips for the local staff, including van sales and branch level strategy
-Regular field visits to branches and key customers
Key Result Areas (KRA’s);
-PosiƟve farmer/trader/ stockist outlook assessed via feedback/ survey acƟviƟes
-A beƩer understanding of technical aspects of our products by you and all local staff to beƩer
handle and advice on usage of our products. This will be assessed via live feedback interviews with
all staff on regular intervals
-Achievement of Sales and profitability targets
-New idea iniƟaƟves related to specific and wider role within the Company
-Individual iniƟaƟve on planning, budgeƟng and reporƟng (submission efficiency)
-ReporƟng accuracy in all numeric reports as well as stock counƟng reports (level of errors)
-BudgeƟng accuracy (low variances)

Prerequisites

• 5+ years agro business managerial experience
• BSc in agriculture/ crop protecƟon and sufficient qualificaƟons for administraƟon duƟes
• Proficient with MS office, email, WhatsApp responsiveness
• High level English language wriƩen and spoken skills
• Team building and management
