Key Responsibilities :

Equipment Repair & Maintenance :

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment including:
• Gas fryers
• Gas burners
• Flat top grills
• Ovens
• Conveyor ovens
• Combi ovens
• Holding cabinets
• Sandwich makers
• Salamanders
• Hot holding equipment
• Coffee machines
• Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair calls.

Gas & Heating Equipment

• Troubleshoot and repair gas-operated kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose issues related to:
• Gas valves
• Ignition systems
• Burners
• Thermostats
• Heating elements
• Temperature controls
• Pilot systems
• Ensure gas equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Installation & Testing:

• Install and test kitchen equipment after repair or replacement.
• Verify equipment functionality and operational safety before handover.
• Assist in commissioning newly installed kitchen equipment.

Technical Support & Reporting:

• Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers when required.
• Assist in monitoring spare parts and maintenance requirements.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow electrical and gas safety procedures during repairs and servicing.
• Ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Report major technical or safety concerns immediately.

Equipment Experience Required
Experience repairing and maintaining equipment such as:

• Henny Penny fryers & holding cabinets
• Rational ovens
• Lincoln ovens
• Nuova Simonelli coffee machines
• Flat top grills
• Gas burners
• Sandwich makers
• Hot holding cabinets
• Commercial cooking equipment

• Basic knowledge of refrigeration and cold room systems is an added advantage.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Diploma, Certificate, or Technical Training in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial Maintenance
• Electromechanical Technology
• Gas Equipment Maintenance
• Or related technical field

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong experience with gas-operated kitchen equipment is required.
• Experience in restaurants, cafés, bakeries, hotels, or central kitchens preferred.
