The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing CNC programs, setting up machines, and ensuring high-quality machining operations. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to determine

machining requirements.

• Develop CNC VMC programs using G-code and M-code, defining cutting paths,

feed rates, and tool changes.

• Select appropriate cutting tools based on material type, tolerances, and

machining needs.

• Set up CNC VMC machines with proper tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Simulate and test CNC programs to identify and resolve errors before

production.

• Monitor machining opperations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface

finish quality.

• Troubleshoot and adjust programs to address any machining issues during

production.

• Perform routine maintenance to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency and

productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, G-code programming, and

cutting tool selection.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Edgecam, SolidWorks,

AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and high precision in machining.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve machining issues.
• Prior experience in a jobbing environment is highly beneficial.
• Prior work experience in Zambia/Africa highly beneficial.
