The role envisages the typical role of CFO for an multi-location educational institution, including but not limited to:

1. Liaison with statutory and internal auditors.
2. Oversight of accountants at all individual school locations, providing guidance and ensuring timeliness of task completion.
3. Ensuring existence and application of appropriate internal controls at all individual schools.
4. Liaison with bankers and investment advisers to help schools manage their treasury function.
5. Taking lead in Finance related Policy-Procedure setting and Strategy making under the guidance of the Finance Committee of the Board and ensuring this is implemented at all individual schools.
6. Liaison with all individual schools for their annual budgeting & planning and interacting with Finance Committee of the Board for necessary approval processes.
7. Liaison with individual schools for periodic financial & MIS reporting and presenting the results to the Finance Committee.
8. Adding value to the chain of command in both directions, to ensure better financial management and discipline.
9. Liaison with individual schools for regulatory filings including VAT returns.
10. Any other role as per the bylaws and additional roles as may be deemed appropriate by the Finance Committee of the Board.

~ Required professional qualifications, like CA
~ Required minimum 12-15 years of overall post-qualification experience as a finance professional
~ Preferably required minimum 5 years with an educational institution
~ At least the recent couple of years experience should be as a Head of Finance / CFO kind of role, with interaction with Board members
~ Required excellent understanding and actual experience in IT and digitalisation projects
~ Good leadership qualities and ability to work under pressure
~ Good presentation skills
