Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our
team in Tanzania. The CPA will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring
compliance with local tax laws and international accounting standards, and supporting strategic
decision-making with accurate financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Tanzanian regulatory
requirements.
Manage and oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll,
and general ledger.
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (VAT, PAYE, corporate taxes, etc.) and liaise with Tanzania
Revenue Authority (TRA) as needed.
Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
Provide strategic advice to management on financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and professional standards.
Manage financial reporting systems, accounting records, and other documentation.
Support business decision-making with financial data analysis and forecasts.
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws, financial regulations, and IFRS.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Experience working with international companies or NGOs.
Knowledge of donor-funded project accounting (for NGO roles).
