Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Implementation

• Review and reorient operational strategy, in line with both the existing strategy and a wider market driven landscape analysis to achieve its mission and demonstrate consistent and timely progress.
• Develop s programmes that align with emerging efforts of teacher education, school transformation and skilling, seizing opportunities for scaled impact.

Fundraising & Thought Leadership

• Publicise the activities of the organisation, its programmes and goals to raise profile with stakeholders in the education and skilling sectors nationally and internationally.
• Establish sound working relationships, engagement and cooperative arrangements with stakeholders, major donors and relevant individuals, experts and organisations.
• Actively lead new fundraising opportunities with support from the functional head of the fundraising team to secure funds.
• Represent the organisation, the programmes and its achievements to decision-making bodies in the education ecosystem comprising of government officials and agencies, private companies, investors, the media, and the general public.

Internal Leadership & Management

• Attract, motivate and ensure the continuous professional development of a diverse, skilled and committed team which assists the Senior Leadership Team including the CEO’s office.
• Promote active and broad participation by stakeholders in all areas of the organisation's work, including the Board of Trustees.
• Oversee the design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programmes led by and manage their strategic growth and successful delivery.

Essential Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, education, management, public policy.
• 10 + years of experience which would include 5-7 years in a leadership and management role - leading strategies, people and teams with operational excellence.
• Experience in scaling up operations in social sector settings preferably in education.
• Experience of working with State and Central Governments.
• Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Financial and business analysis skills: Proficient budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting.
• Demonstrated organisational abilities including planning, delegating and strategic program development.
• Exceptional communication skills, strong active listening skills and strong public presentation skills. Proficient written and oral fluency in English. Proficiency or fluency in Hindi is essential and any other regional Indian language is desirable.
• Credible track record of fundraising success and an enthusiastic, pro-active and entrepreneurial approach to revenue generation
