Job Purpose
The Business Head – Angola is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, and
profitability of the company’s operations in Angola. The role owns the country P&L,
drives strategy execution, strengthens market presence, ensures operational
excellence, and builds strong stakeholder relationships in line with group objectives
and local market realities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Country Management
 Define and execute the Angola country strategy aligned with group vision and
goals
 Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, profitability, and cash
flow
 Identify expansion opportunities, new business models, and strategic
investments
 Translate strategic priorities into actionable operating plans and KPIs
Business Growth & Commercial Excellence
 Drive sales, market share, and revenue growth across all products/services
 Strengthen routetomarket, customer relationships, and channel partnerships
 Monitor competitive landscape, pricing, and market trends
 Ensure strong collaboration between sales, marketing, and business
development
Operations & Performance Management
 Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, service delivery, or project
execution (as applicable)
 Ensure safe, efficient, and costeffective operations
 Drive productivity, asset utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives
 Partner with operations leaders to ensure delivery excellence

Financial Management & Governance
 Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and working capital management
 Ensure strong financial controls, internal governance, and risk management
 Work closely with the CFO on compliance, tax, FX, and statutory matters
 Ensure adherence to Angolan regulations, labor laws, and corporate policies
People Leadership & Organization Building
 Build, lead, and inspire a highperforming leadership team
 Develop local talent, succession plans, and leadership capability
 Foster a culture of accountability, performance, safety, and ethics
 Act as a role model for company values and leadership behaviors
Stakeholder & External Relations
 Represent the company with government authorities, regulators, partners, and
key customers
 Build strong relationships with banks, industry bodies, and strategic
stakeholders
 Support board interactions, audits, and strategic reviews
 Manage reputational risk and corporate affairs within Angola

Qualifications & Experience
Education
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline
 MBA or Master’s Degree strongly preferred
Experience

 15–20+ years of progressive leadership experience
 Minimum 5+ years as Country Head, Business Head, GM, or equivalent
 Strong experience in Angola or SubSaharan Africa highly preferred
 Background in managing large, complex, or multisite operations
