Key responsibilities
Required Skills
Strong experience with PHP 8 and CodeIgniter
MySQL, database design, and query optimization
REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
JavaScript
Git version control
Linux hosting, cron jobs, and basic Docker
Secure authentication, user permissions, logging, and backup management
Good spoken and written English
Reliable home internet connection
Ability to work full-time with reasonable overlap with Mauritius time
Desired candidate profile
The candidate should ideally have 4–8 years of experience, with strongest preference for practical, hands-on backend developers rather than purely website developers.
Experience with n8n or similar automation tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
The candidate should be a quick learner and able to adapt to new technologies and internal systems.
Ability to develop and maintain API integrations, automation workflows, dashboards, and database-driven operational tools.
Comfortable working on internal business applications and contributing to process automation and system improvements.
